Anne Hathaway enjoys Bikram yoga and keeping fit—and that’s a good thing. Working out for movie roles involves an intense workout and staying motivated. We love that the star keeps things real. When hitting the gym to prepare for her role as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, Hathaway admitted, “There’s a workout hump where you’re so weak that you hate everything and everything’s painful, and you look like an idiot.”

Training for stunts in Hathaway’s role for Catwoman included concentrated weight lifting training, dancing each day for 1.5 hours, yoga, and martial arts. She revealed to Harper’s Bazaar, “I’ve always thought that skinny was the goal, but with this job I also have to be strong.”
As far as healthy eats are concerned, the book Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer previously inspired Hathaway to be loyal to a vegetarian menu, according to Popsugar. Most recently, the star went on a “raw vegan” diet for her role in WeCrashed. This kind of diet consists of raw foods or items prepared at temperatures less than 40 to 48°C.
“I think I’m a vegan now. Like, I think this is it … I know I’ve done it before and I know it’s never stuck but I think this is the time that I’m doing it,” Hathaway explained on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Although she’s eaten meat since, she totally supports the vegan way, noting, “It’s great. And we should do as much as we can to eat vegetables for the environment.”
