Anna Canzano: Assessing your financial fitness – OregonLive

The beginning of the year is a great time to assess your financial fitness, according to Erin Moore with OnPoint Community Credit Union. That Expert Show host Anna Canzano interviewed Moore about budgeting, using credit to your advantage, avoiding fraud, and navigating the current financial climate.

Moore emphasized the importance of creating and maintaining an emergency fund, a separate account you don’t touch unless you’re facing a financial crisis due to unforeseen circumstances, like losing a job. “A goal to work toward is saving three to six months of expenses to put into your emergency fund,” Moore said.
The education program manager for OnPoint Community Credit Union also offered a variety of resources to help you find a financial coach, build credit, prepare for home ownership, and protect yourself from scams.
These are available from the episode provided by Canzano.
