BJJ star Kade Ruotolo bagged two championship world titles and a $50,000 USD bonus within a one month time-frame. Suffice to say, the 19-year-old prodigy reminded fans he’s not just a one-hit wonder, but that he’s here to stay.
In the first world title fight of three at ONE on Prime Video 3, Kade Ruotolo did right by his twin brother Tye, his coaches at Atos, and the sport itself when he submitted four-time Sambo world champion Uali Kurzhev with a heel lock less than ten minutes after the start of their grappling bout.
The highlight reel finish didn’t go unnoticed by CEO Chatri Sityodtong, who rewarded Kade’s performance with his first bonus of the year. The young superstar grinned from ear to ear when Mitch Chilson gave him the news in the post-fight interview.
The excited Californian native spoke into the mic and bellowed:

Kade and Tye Ruotolo have been putting their hard-earned money together into a dream project that’s bigger than expensive cars and the latest technology.
Now with the $50,000K bonus, they will continue to live by their mentor’s words in using their wealth to positively affect those around them and fulfill their life-long dream of teaching the world of BJJ to the next generation.
In the same post-fight interview, Kade Ruotolo said he aims for a swift return to action before the end of the calendar year. He called out BJJ newcomers Tainan Dalpra from Brazil and Tommy Langaker from Norway as potential challengers to his newly acquired crown.
