The University of Georgia gymnastics team and head coach Courtney Kupets Carter have announced the 2023 schedule.
With numerous new faces on the roster for this season, the GymDogs are preparing strong for a successful 2023 season.
“We are really excited about the 2023 season,” Kupets Carter said. “We have great competition in the regular season in different atmospheres which is impactful and helps us build towards postseason. We are looking forward to the SEC Championship being held in Duluth and know our loyal fans will make it another home meet environment for us.”
The first event of the year will be the annual “First Look”, held in Stegeman Coliseum on Saturday, December 10 at 6:00 p.m. The GymDogs open the 2023 season on the road at Missouri on January 13 before returning home to host a Quad Meet with Ohio State, Rutgers, and Fisk on Monday, January 16 for the Annual MLK Day Meet.
Georgia then hosts Kentucky in Stegeman Coliseum on Friday, January 20 before hitting the road for three-straight weeks. The GymDogs head to Gainesville to face the Florida Gators on Friday, January 27 and then travel to Baton Rouge to take on the LSU Tigers on February 3.
Next, Georgia will compete on podium at the Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday, February 11.
