Big Ed Brown shares no-nonsense weight loss advice with his IG followers, but most 90 Day Fiancé fans joke about his underwhelming “transformation.”
In a recent gym video “Big” Ed Brown uploaded to Instagram, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise star shared surprising workout advice and didn’t mince words. After earning a bad reputation for the way he treated his ex-girlfriend Rose Vega on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Ed gained new franchise fame on 90 Day: The Single Life. During seasons 1 and 2 of the popular spin-off, Ed looked for love again and ultimately found it in Liz Woods.
Ed and Liz got engaged in the season 2 finale and have reportedly already begun wedding planning. The two aren’t exactly the most beloved franchise couple, but they appear to make each other happy as the prepare to be wed. Both 90 Day Fiancé stars have been on a fitness kick leading up to their wedding and have shared their weight loss journeys with fans. Liz has posted several videos of her sensual dance workouts and seems to be very happy with her new figure. Ed has also been hitting the gym and sharing his progress with his Instagram followers.
Though Ed has posted many videos and selfies from his workouts, the latest clip he shared is extremely to the point. “Get off your a**..!,” read the text on a video of Ed doing leg presses. However, the caption of the post was less abrupt and more inspirational. “Be the difference in your life..!,” Ed wrote in the caption, and it seems he’s hoping to motivate his followers. But although the 90 Day Fiancé star’s advice is pretty straightforward, he’s not wrong. The best way to lose weight is to keep at it, as his fiancé Liz can attest to. Many 90 Day Fiancé cast members have been sharing before-and-after photos and workout details on social media, and it’s been inspiring many fans to embark on their own fitness journeys.

However, many commenters were skeptical about taking weight loss advice from Ed in the first place. “Goes to the gym once and thinks he’s a gym rat,” one fan joked, and others made similar remarks doubting Ed’s expertise. “The time I take health and fitness advice from you, will be at the same time I take food recipes from Jeffrey Dahmer,” another commenter said. The 90 Day Fiancé franchise star has been called out for his underwhelming weight loss transformation, and a lot of viewers don’t think Ed looks much different from when he started his fitness journey on The Single Life season 1.
Despite Ed’s attempts to serve as workout inspiration to his followers, most 90 Day Fiancé fans don’t seem to be buying it. There are many other cast members who viewers do see as motivational, but Ed isn’t one of them. Though Ed may be doing right by his health, he should probably rethink trying to drop nuggets of fitness wisdom on Instagram.
